New panel processing technology displayed at IWF by Schelling America/IMA America

The IWF 2012 exhibition August 22-25 will include the latest in panel processing technology, including the Schelling FH8 Duplus Panel Saw with board inventory-storage system at the Schelling and IMA booth 6446/6434.

In Atlanta, Schelling will demonstrate the new fh8 auto-loading panel saw equipped with Schelling’s Duplus2 feeder system for staggered cutting patterns. The machine will also be equipped with Schelling’s special Evolution saw carriage, a turning device for head cuts and first-to-the-market fully automatic label printing system. For the first time in the U.S. market, Schelling will also show the VS12 fully automatic board storage and retrieval system supplying the fh8 panel saw with material.

The IMA BIMA 400V will be displayed at IWF. A four-axis CNC machining center with edgebanding capabilities, this machine shapes, edgebands and finishies irregular-shaped panels automatically. The machine to be displayed in Atlanta will also be able to shape, edgeband and trim lightweight panels by shaping the panels, inserting a support edge and applying the decorative edge.

The IMA Novimat Contour, a CNC-controlled heavy-duty industrial edgebander for edgebanding and finishing of a variety of different products, will also be displayed at the Atlanta exhibition. Edgebands can vary from thin tape to 3 mm PVC or ABS edgeband, HPL strips or solid wood lippings up to a maximum thickness of 20 mm. The machine can process parts at a maximum speed of 30 m/min.

During the show, Schelling and IMA will showcase the capabilities of each of their machines by producing a variety of footstools. These footstools will be donated to the Atlanta chapter of Habitat for Humanity.  Special thanks to Watson Furniture from Poulsbo, Washington who will be donating their IMA BIMA 400V for this cause.

Visitors to booth 6446/6434 will have a chance to win an iPad, iPod Touch, or iPod Nano.  Prizes will be mailed to winners after the show. To enter, you must have your badge scanned at the booth.

The booth will be full of Schelling America and IMA America service technicians, engineers and sales managers, all available to answer any questions about the latest technology as well as show attendees’ current Schelling and IMA machinery.

Also, a press conference will be held on the second day of the show (August 23) at 8:30 a.m. in Schelling and IMA’s booth 6446/6434 to discuss recent developments Schelling and IMA have made in the industry. Those wishing to attend the press conference or find out more, please RSVP by contacting Virginia Hoskins at Virginia.Hoskins@ima.schelling.com.
